Federal government initiatives

Government initiatives
At MRC, we recognize that “production-ready” technology can offer solutions in the short- term for the U.S. economy.
To support Federal government initiatives that promote the export of Green Technology, our Innovation Center has focussed its endeavors to realize “production-ready” engines by 2011/2012.
With a strong emphasis on field testing our existing technology, and prototyping new innovations; combined with a carefully targeted peer-review program, MRC is determined to realize its market insertion timetable.
Governments as consumers
In addition to assisting U.S. corporations to export Green Technology generally, the Federal government as a consumer can play an important part in the green engine technology industry specifically.
Be it the military, law enforcement, coast guard, or many other agencies of the Federal government, all have energy and transport needs that will be greatly improved by the replacement of old technology with green engine technology. The government savings on fuel consumption alone will have dramatic effects in the short-term, as will be the better environmental outcomes in the longer term. Environmental outcomes that have the potential to see a reduction in reliance on fossil fuel imports and the resultant security and independence that such a reduction will create.
In summary, MRC has recognized the important dual role of government as both a sponsor of green engine technology and as also a major consumer; and in 2011, MRC has set about developing initiatives designed to capitalize on this dual role of Federal and State governments.
